Annual Progress Report
The Annual Progress Report of the Slovak Republic is an evaluation document prepared by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, which monitors the implementation of the National Medium-Term Fiscal-Structural Plan for the years 2025–2028. The report maps the state of public finances following the adoption of the new European fiscal framework, analyses the progress of consolidation measures, the implementation of structural reforms, and the realization of investments. The document also assesses fiscal sustainability over the coming years. Special emphasis is placed on compliance with the trajectory of growth in net expenditure, which has become the main instrument for managing the deficit and public debt under the new form of the Stability and Growth Pact. The report also updates the macroeconomic and fiscal outlook for Slovakia, takes into account global economic risks, and evaluates the impact of adopted and planned measures on the development of debt and deficit under excessive deficit procedure (EDP).
