Scope:

The company was established by the Memorandum of Association of 13 December 2001. On the basis of the Resolution of the Government of the Slovak Republic No. 481 of 19 September 2012, a free-of-charge transfer of book-entry shares of the company Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a. s., was carried out between the National Property Fund of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Republic, represented by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. Following this, the Slovak Republic, represented by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, became the sole shareholder of the company Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a. s.

Company’s mission:

The mission of Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a. s., is to operate the transmission system in a reliable manner, to ensure dispatching control of the system, its maintenance, renewal and development so as to guarantee reliable and high quality supply of electricity to all users of the transmission system and its parallel operation with adjacent transmission systems.

At the same time, it is essential to adhere to transparent and non-discriminatory principles of accessing the network with a minimum impact on the environment. It is also essential to respect the requirements proceeding from the national and European legislation, the Regulatory Office for Network Industries’ regulatory decisions, and the pertinent rules for operations and international cooperation within the EU's supranational synchronously interconnected electricity system.

Electricity transmission is carried out by the joint-stock company Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava on the basis of Permit No. 2005E 0137 issued by the Regulatory Office for Network Industries of the Slovak Republic with validity from 1 January 2006 for an indefinite period of time.

Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a. s., ensures and performs tasks in the field of economic mobilisation within the meaning of the Decision of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic No. 345/2006-1040-5.
